Angry Marie.... umm... Birds, of The Day:

Over the weekend, Finland hosted its first Angry Birds Championship. 2600 fans thought they had what it took to win, including the littlest Green Pig killah, a six year old who borrowed his Dad’s phone to play. Aw!

The Championship was a star studded affair with Finnish popstar Kristiina Wheeler, pro snowboarder Eero Ettala and the reigning Miss Finland all making appearances, but one person truly earned the spotlight.

19-year-old student Jonas Koivula, who blew off studying for exams to Rocky-style train for this event, is the champion… my friend. Watch him confidently destroy the competition in the video above, just be sure to hit mute before the canned music chimes in.

Koivula plans to share the prize with his girlfriend, an all expenses paid trip to Hollywood. Sounds to us like we might have another potential Freddie Wong on our hands….
