The quake was first detected at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday.
Local residents described the quake as "very minor."
Public works officials said they had not received any calls about damage.
One woman said at first it was not known if the trembling was an earthquake or an explosion. There is a factory in the area that makes the powder for dynamite.
