Saturday night, the rare “perigree moon,” which comes but once every 20 years, will be so big and full that you’ll think you can jump over it like a cow.

Or as NASA puts it:
“Nearby perigee moons are about 14% bigger and 30% brighter than lesser moons that occur on the apogee side of the moon’s orbit.”
